Distance / Bearing

The Distance Bearing feature is one of the tools made available for use in the display area. Easily determine the great circle distance and true north bearing between any two points on screen.

To Use Distance / Bearing

Toolbar

1. Click Distance Bearing on the Cursor toolbar.
2. CTRL-click on the map to establish a starting point.
3. Move the mouse cursor around the screen, the tip window shows distance and true north bearing from the starting point to the current location.
4. Click Esc or click to exit the Distance Bearing mode.

Keyboard

1. Move the mouse cursor to the starting point on the map window and CTRL-click.
2. Proceed to step #3 above under Toolbar.
