Flight Explorer Extensions (FLEX)

The Flight Explorer Extensions (FLEX) are an Application Programming Interface (API) which allow third party vendors or users to develop value added extensions and plug-ins for Flight Explorer.

FLEX is implemented as a standard, 32-bit Windows DLL. Any programming language that can create a Win32 compliant DLL can be used to create a Flight Explorer Extension. These extensions can provide additional functionality to the Flight Explorer client application including custom overlays, context clickable hot spots, and custom event handlers and event generators. FLEX currently supports multi-map displays by rendering custom overlays and allowing hot spots in the active window.

Flex items can be loaded to and opened in User Defined Views -> Flex Modules. For more information, please contact your Flight Explorer representative to receive the API document.
