Read and Produce a Report From the Event Log

The Event Log file contains the recorded events selected in the Event Manager. It is located in the Logs sub-directory of the Flight Explorer program directory (ex.: "C:\Program Files\Flight Explorer Professional\Logs\FEEvents.csv").

ClosedExport to Excel

  1. Load Microsoft Excel.
  2. Create a new spreadsheet.

  3. Click the Data menu, move to Import External Data and select Import Data.

  4. From the Import window, press the Files of type: down-arrow and select Text Files (*.txt;*.csv;*.tab;*.asc).

  5. Browse to the Logs sub-directory in the Flight Explorer directory and select the Log file to be imported.

  6. Select Delimited from Original data type in the Text Import Wizard, and click Next.

  7. Click the Comma check box and uncheck the Tab box in the Delimiters box, then click Finish.
  8. Click OK in the Import Data window.

ClosedExport to Access

  1. Load Microsoft Access.
  2. Create a new database.
  3. Click the File menu move to Get External Data, then select Import.
  4. Click Files of type: on the Import window, and then select Text Files (*.txt;*.csv;*.tab;*.asc).
  5. Browse to the Logs sub-directory in the Flight Explorer directory and select the Log file that you want to import.
  6. Click OK on the Import Data window.
