Tools - Update

Updates for new application versions and static database information can be obtained by selecting the Update  button on the Tools Toolbar or Update Flight Explorer on the Help menu. The Update button appears bright green when new updates are available. Updates are also announced through an update message that appears in a separate window when logging into the application.

When the Update button is pressed an Update Screen opens that tells the user whether or not the latest versions have been installed. See the Update Screens.

When an update has finished a window will open stating that the update has completed.

Then a second window will open asking the user to restart Flight Explorer for the updates to take effect.

The Update feature can be disabled by the system administrator for those companies that keep track of all of their updates.
