IATA Turbulence Aware enhancements
Sabre partnered with IATA to provide real-time and detailed EDR turbulence information through the Turbulence Aware Program for increased dispatcher situational awareness, enhanced safety, and optimized fuel consumption. This functionality is available for any airline operator participating in the data-sharing initiative. If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact FESolutions@sabre.com for additional information.
In this release, Flight Explorer added additional functionality to control the display of IATA Turbulence Aware EDR reports. A new Minimum EDR value to display dropdown is added to allow the selection of a minimum threshold to show for IATA EDR reports. 0 EDR reports (heartbeats) are controlled separately to show calm air information. A Fade old reports option was added to reduce the visibility of reports as they age.
This product updates every two minutes and will include the past four hours worth of reports.
