User Defined Views Drawing Objects

The Drawing Objects overlay controls objects created in Manage Drawing Objects. A drawing object is a circle (ellipse) or rectangle used to define an area on a map, such as a state, country, city, or any area of interest.

To open the Drawing Objects window

  1. On the Main toolbar, click View Settings.

    The User Defined View Settings window appears.
  2. In the User Defined View Settings window, click Drawing Objects.
    The Drawing Objects window appears.

To Open the Drawing Objects window

Click the View Settings icon on the Main toolbar, User Defined View Settings (CTRL + V) on the View menu, and then click Drawing Objects, or the down arrow on the To Open the Drawing Objects windowDrawing Objects Overlay icon on the Overlay toolbar, then Drawing Object View Settings.

Detail Options

Allows selection of Drawing Objects for the overlay detail. Drawing Object text labels can be turned on or off, and a color can be selected.

Drawing Object Selection List

Individual Drawing objects can be selected for display in this User Defined View by clicking the check box next to the Drawing object names. To show the Drawing Objects listed in the selection list, click the check box labeled Show Selected Drawing Objects.

Zoom Levels

Use the slider to choose the level that Drawing Objects, points, and labels are visible on-screen. Click the @ button to select the current zoom level. The corresponding item will be visible from the selected zoom level to the lowest zoom level (city).
