To open the SUA window

The overlay must be enabled first by clicking the Show SUA Overlay check box in User Defined View Settings -> SUA or by clicking the down arrow on the SUA Overlay icon on the Overlay Toolbar, then selecting SUA View Settings.

To turn on the SUA overlay, click the SUA Overlay icon on the Overlay toolbar, or select SUA (ALT + U) on the Overlays menu.

Using the SUA View

Click the View Settings icon on the Main toolbar, User Defined View Settings (CTRL + V) on the View menu, and then click SUA , or the down arrow on the SUA Overlay icon on the Overlay toolbar, then SUA View Settings.

Detail Options

More than one area can be selected by clicking the corresponding checkbox. Select a color for each by clicking the appropriate color button. Text labels can be turned on or off, and a color can also be selected.

MOA

An area that is designated a Military Operations Area. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.

Prohibited Areas

An area that is prohibited to all air traffic. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.

Restricted Areas

An area that has been designated, restricted. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.

Alert Areas

An area where an alert has been issued. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.

Warning Areas

An area where a warning has been issued. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.

Caution Areas

An area where a caution has been issued. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.

Danger Areas

An area where a danger alert has been issued. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.

Training Areas

An area where training is taking place. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.

Other Areas

Areas not covered by the above categories. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.

Text Labels

Labels are shown on the SUA. Click the arrow on the SUA Overlay icon, and then click ShowText Labels, to turn the overlay on. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.

Zoom Levels

Use the slider to choose the level that SUAs and labels are visible on-screen. Click the @ button to select the current zoom level. The corresponding item will be visible from the selected zoom level to the lowest zoom level (city).

SUA Selection List

Individual SUAs can be turned on by adding them to the selection list. To show the SUAs listed in the selection list, click the check box labeled Show Selected SUA. To select the color in which these SUA will be shown, click open the color palette, click the color you want and then click Apply.

SUA Filter Group List

Groups of SUAs can be turned on by adding them to the Filter Group selection list (see Tools, Features, & Settings -> Options -> Filter Groups for more information).

Displays what is defined in Filter Groups assigned to overlay in User Defined View settings. Up to 5 groups supported. Click the color box next to the check box if you want to change the color of the SUA that appears on the map.
