Managing Streets and Places

You can use the Streets and Places window to manage the streets and places that appear on the map.

ClosedSelecting Layers

  • Click a check box to turn on a layer.

or

  • Click Select All to turn on all layers.

ClosedDeselecting Layers

  • Click the check box of an active layer to turn off.

or

  • Click Deselect All to turn off all layers.

Note  Please contact your Flight Explorer sales representative if you do not have an installation CD.

To Activate a Streets & Places View:

The overlay must be enabled first by clicking the Show Streets & Places Overlay check box in User Defined View Settings -> Streets & Places or by clicking the down arrow on the Streets & Places Overlay icon on the Overlay Toolbar, then selecting Streets & Places View Settings.

To turn on the Streets & Places overlay, click the Streets & Places Overlay icon on the Overlay toolbar, or select Streets & Places (ALT + M) on the Overlays menu.

Note  A standard Flight Explorer installation includes a free sample of NavTeq data that is used in the sample User Defined Views. To install additional map regions, contact your account representative to purchase a license key. Once you purchase and receive your license key, run the map installer (click NAVTEQ Maps) on your Flight Explorer installation CD.
