Managing Weather Alerts

To Use Weather Alerts

1. Click User Defined View Settings (CTRL + V) on the View menu.
2. Select Weather & Dynamic Overlays (ALT + W).
3. Select Animation & Alerts.

4. Click Weather Alert Settings, to open the Weather Alert Settings window.

or

1. Click the down arrow on the Weather & Dynamic Overlays (CTRL + K).
2. Select Animation Alerts.
3. Click Weather Alert Settings, to open the Weather Alert Settings window.

or

1. Click the View Settings icon on the Main toolbar.
2. Select Animation & Alerts.
3. Click Weather Alert Settings, to open the Weather Alert Settings window.

To Activate Weather Alerts

Click Enable Weather Alerts on the Weather Alert Settings window to turn on the weather alert system. When not selected all settings are ignored. An alert area and method, and NEXRAD threshold can be set to receive audible and/or visual alerts when any weather at or above the threshold moves into the defined area.

Note  A 16 level NEXRAD reflectivity product must be selected and active in this view for the NEXRAD alert to work.

Note  Changes made here will not be saved or take effect until Apply or OK is pressed.
