Flight Explorer gives you complete control over aircraft and overlay colors. Different colors can be defined for aircraft in-flight and aircraft that have arrived at their destination. Colors can also be defined for each aircraft filter. This gives the user the ability to color code different airlines, planes to and/or from a particular airport, planes in a particular altitude range, different aircraft types or any combination of these.

Colors selected for filters or aircraft are part of the view definition. Therefore each defined view can have a different color scheme. For more information on aircraft colors please see the help screen on the User Defined Views - Planes window.

Select colors from a palette of 40. The user can define 16 colors while 24 remain fixed. Color definitions are carried through to all views. Therefore, when changing a color definition, it affects every instance in every view that uses that color. Colors can be changed by selecting Define Colors from the Options menu, or by clicking a color button (anywhere color can be selected) and selecting Define Colors from a color selection panel.

To Use Custom Colors

Select Define Colors from the Tools menu to open the Define Customs Colors window. The define custom colors window allows you to pick a color from the color spectrum, or enter direct RGB or HSL values for the new color.
