Airport Alerts

You can use the Airports events window to set alerts for airports.

All airport based alerts can be selected including threshold criteria and the airport for each event. Arrival delay, ground stop, and ground delay issues are specific to destination airports. Please check the Weather Overlay section for weather coverage information and availability.

Events that trigger an alert can be generated for airports in certain areas or regions by creating Filter Groups such as Northeast U.S., Southeast U.S., Northwest U.S., or other areas of interest.

Alert triggering methods can be selected to notify the user when an event of interest has occurred. These can include specific ranges of METAR, RVR, FAA Delays, and Diversions at an airport.

To set up alerts for airports

  1. In ribbon mode , click .
    The Event/alert manager tab appears.
  2. Click Airport events.
    The Airport events tab appears.
  3. In the Generate airport events for... area, click the drop-down menu to select the filter group you want to use for the airport events.
  4. In the Generate an event for an airport when... area, click in the check boxes to indicate the event.
    You can select all or a combination of events.
  5. In most of the events you can select from a drop-down menu to modify the event.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Click OK to close the Flight Alert system settings window.
