Map Legend

The Map Legend shows details about all currently displayed map symbols and colors.

To open the Map Legend

1. In the Main menu, click Overlays.
2. From the menu, click Map Legend .
   The Map Legend appearsappears.

When views or overlay settings are changed, legends are automatically updated.

The Map Legend appears on-screen by default and can be manually moved and sized. When the size is smaller than the data to be displayed a scroll bar appears. Map legends can be set to automatically resize to display as much data as possible each time a view change occurs. Automatic resize can be set in General Options.

The map legend state can be recalled between Flight Explorer sessions by setting the option in General Options. The previous state is useful when the user is comparing between session shutdown and startup. Full weather product details (NEXRAD, satellite, rainfall, and lightning) and color palettes can be set in Weather Options.
