Flight Alerts

You can use the Aircraft selection profiles window to set up flight alerts.

Flight Alerts are a collection of alert and event settings, logging, and aircraft/airline triggering attributes that can be determined by the user. Customize alert notifications by selecting one or more alert and event types, and how the notice will be received.

A user can select the events (activities) that trigger alerts such as aircraft departures, distances to airports, proximity, aircraft destination and positional changes, etc. An event is any action that has occurred, that is of interest and should be tracked. See Alert System Event Types for available events.

Alert methods can be selected to make sure that the user is notified when an event of interest has occurred. These can include voice, e-mail, sound, zooming, markers, and logging. An alert is a signal that something has happened. See Alert System Alert Types for available alerts.

The vehicle that triggers an alert by performing one of the specified events can also be selected and includes Airlines, Aircraft types, or Groups such as My Fleet.

Aircraft Selection Profiles

Selection settings are used to determine which aircraft will generate events and alerts. An aircraft must match at least one profile to generate an event, except for Drawing Object events, see Advanced Aircraft Selections below.
