****   Flight Explorer uses data gathered from the National Weather Service to generate and build our own NCWF (National Convective

Weather Forecast) product. Storm cells appear as a raster radar image combined with a vector based outline (blue) in 1 hour forecast increments.  Rest your mouse cursor over a cell to see Hot tips or right-click a cell to see a Context Menu with available information. Storm cell characteristics are depicted as follows:

Direction

Represented as an arrow.

Velocity (speed)

Represented as a number (in knots) at the tip of the arrow.

Cloud Tops

Represented as a number (in hundreds of feet) at the base of the arrow.

Tops Ranges are 25,000 <-> 29,000, 30,000 <-> 34,000, 35,000 <-> 39,000, > 40,000 Coverage
